Barca agreement for Yerry Mina

Palmeiras and Colombia defender Yerry Mina has a pre-agreement to join Barcelona, according to the player's representative and uncle.

The central defender netted a late equaliser for his country last week against Uruguay and his uncle told Radio Carocol an agreement is in place with the Catalans but that his move is far from a done deal, with other club's also interested in the 22-year-old.

"Yes, a pre-agreement was signed and there's the possibility that the kid goes to Barcelona," explained the agent.

"It's only a pre-agreement, so there's still the chance that other teams to make an offer, so any move would depend on circumstances and the desire of the player – other top European teams are interested."

Mina joined the Brazilian side from Colombian side Santa Fe earlier this year, and he has now won four caps for his country.

Mundo Deportivo state that the move to the Sao Paulo club included a clause which would allow him to join Barca at any point over the next three years for €9m, while Sport say the Blaugrana are interested in Mina but agreed to sign Fluminense defender Marlon Santos on loan instead, who is now involved with the B team.
