Messi & Umtiti back for Barca

Luis Enrique has confirmed that Lionel Messi and Samuel Umtiti are available for Barcelona’s match against Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga on Saturday.

Messi has recovered from a groin injury in time for Barca’s visit of Depor, while Umtiti has overcome the knee problem that kept him out for the past fortnight, and Enrique believes the pair are ready to compete at “high pressure”.

“The match is important for not only our last two results against Deportivo but also the fact we’re resuming our campaign and that our opponents have similarly had two weeks to prepare for the game,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“All these are aspects that can influence the game and we have to be very careful. They’re going to make life difficult for us and it’ll be a special match to prove ourselves in.

“It’s a different type of game as the group were divided for several days. We’ve had stumbles that weren’t in our plans, so it’ll be a match of high pressure, in which we’ll need the support of the fans because it’ll be easy for us to come unstuck.

“We have to get points and, therefore, we’re not thinking beyond the match against the Galicians.

“Everyone has prepared and are in with a chance of starting against Depor. Leo and Samuel have recovered.

“They’ve already trained with the team at a good level and we’ll see what we do tomorrow. In principle, both are available.”
