Carrasco wants Atleti stay

Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco has confirmed he has no desire of leaving the club, despite being linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Belgian has expressed his wish to extend his current deal with Los Rojiblancos, which runs to 2020, amid speculation that the Blues could trigger his €40m release clause.

"I will be here until 2020 but I hope I will continue beyond that,” Carrasco told AS.

"I'm very happy at Atleti. I have been very well received at the club. When I play well and score goals, the fans chant my name and I hope to continue like that."

"I work with the aim of being a starter but it's the coach that has to make the decision," Carrasco said. "We are working hard and we are taking it one game at a time."

Carrasco has not yet become a regular start at the Calderon, but did not score his side’s only goal in last season’s Champions League final.
