Setien: Espanyol a big test

Las Palmas coach Quique Setien is expecting to come up against the 'strongest Espanyol' he has faced in Friday's LaLiga clash.

Espanyol have only recorded one league victory in their seven outings thus far after a summer of mass change with the appointment of Quique Sanchez Flores and a string of new arrivals, prompting Setien to reveal he is wary about the qualities they possess.

"Espanyol are a very experienced and strong side who are hard to break down with quality players, so we must be at our best," explained the 58-year-old.

"All my focus is on my team continuing our strong form and positivity to ensure we win as many points as possible.

"Getting more and more points is extremely important for us as our objective is to stay in the division and to avoid relegation – so these home games are particularly important, but I'm more focused on making sure we continue to play well as long-term that is the aim.

"Araujo has had a few problems but none that are serious and he is available, while Viera and Pedro Bigas are also recovered."
