Pepe extends Madrid deal?

Real Madrid defender Pepe has extended his deal at the club until 2018, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Portuguese defender's current deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign but has added another year to his contract, according to Cadena Ser's El Larguero programme.

The 33-year-old is reportedly very happy in Madrid and enjoying his role at the club, even though he is no longer a regular in the starting line-up.

He is thought to want to end his career at the club and this contract will now take him up to past his 35th birthday, while he celebrated winning this summer's European Championships with Portugal.

Real Madrid now reportedly will announce contract extension for Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric in the next two weeks after a new long-term deal was agreed with Toni Kroos.
