Alcacer: Atleti stronger than RM

Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer believes Atletico Madrid are a stronger side and tougher to beat than city rivals Real Madrid.

The former Valencia striker was speaking in an interview with Cadena Cope and was asked about the twin challenge that the sides from the capital pose to Barcelona.

"They both play in a different way," Alcacer reflected.

"Atletico Madrid are doing better recently and it's more difficult to beat them [than Real] because of their style of play.

"I try not to stay up over-thinking things, but it's clear that Simeone's style is really tough and he wants to win all the time."

The 23-year-old has not found the net in any of his six appearances for his new club to date but rates his start in Catalonia as a ‘nine or ten’ and that he’s feeling no pressure.

"Everyone is keen for (their first goal) to go in, even more so when you've changed scenery," continued the striker.

"It's always difficult to adapt at the beginning and the most complicated goal is the first one.

"It's not weighing me down too much, though. A little, yes, because all strikers want to score goals, but I have always said it's important to remain calm in these situations. I hope I score my first goal with Barca soon – for example, this weekend (against Deportivo La Coruna)."
