Vidal set for Barca departure

Aleix Vidal could be set for a move away from Barcelona as early as January following an unsuccessful meeting between his agent and the club.

Tot Costa on Catalunya Radio report that Vidal's agent met with Barca's sporting director Robert Fernandez in Andorra on Monday to clarify the full-back's future at the club but that both left with the idea that the former Sevilla player would soon have to find a new club.

The 27-year-old has reportedly been upset since the Catalan's win at Leganes, where Sergi Roberto was rested by coach Luis Enrique who also changed his formation to three at the back rather than directly replaced him with Vidal.

It is suggested that with Sergi Roberto again unavailable for this weekend's clash with Deportivo La Coruna, that Vidal – who can also play as a winger – could get one final chance at Camp Nou, but his future looks bleak and the club are reportedly willing to listen to offers in January.
