Valencia, Sevilla chase Chicharito

Valencia and Sevilla are both keen on bringing former Manchester United striker Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez to Spain, according to reports.

Chicharito is currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany but is reportedly keen on a return to LaLiga – where he played for Real Madrid in a year-long loan deal two seasons ago.

Fox Sports Mexico state that representatives from both Valencia and Sevilla have contacted the striker's agent regarding a move with both keen to reinforce their striking options.

Cesare Prandelli is reportedly keen to add a striker to replace Paco Alcacer, who left for Barcelona in August and Hernandez was previously considered by the club before his move to Real Madrid, before they opted for a deal with Alvaro Negredo instead.

Sevilla meanwhile are keen to give extra competition to Luciano Vietto and Wissam Ben Yedder, who were both signed this summer.

The Spanish sides have been given encouragement by the striker being in a relationship with journalist Lucia Villalon but his release clause at Bayer is €45m and it is thought that he will not be allowed to leave Germany for less.
