Barcelona are interested in signing Chelsea's central defender Andreas Christensen, currently on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, say reports.
Reports in the English media suggest Barca are mulling over whether or not to make a move for the Danish central defender next summer to provide cover for Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique, with Javier Mascherano's future at the club seemingly once again in doubt.
The 20-year-old has only made one league appearance for Chelsea but has been a feature of the Monchengladbach team since his first loan move in July 2015, and the Sun are the latest to report that his uncertain future could mean a bid from the Catalans is considered.
Christensen played during the German side's narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Barca in last month's Champions League tie.
