Barcelona have confirmed that Jordi Alba will be out for 10 days with a thigh injury, meaning he will miss next Saturday’s visit of Deportivo La Coruna.
A statement on Barca’s official website broke the news after more tests were carried out on Alba, although he is expected to be back in time for Manchester City in the Champions League the following Wednesday.
The left-back pulled up just 22 minutes into Spain’s 1-1 draw with Italy on Thursday and was swiftly released from the squad, to be replaced by Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal.
