Line-ups: Italy-Spain

Spain are full-strength for tonight’s crunch 2018 World Cup qualifier against Italy, with Diego Costa the only doubt leading the line.

Just two changes from the Spain team that demolished Liechtenstein 8-0 last month see Dani Carvajal replace Sergi Roberto at right-back and Thiago Alcantara make way for Andres Iniesta.

Thus, David de Gea starts in goal and is protected by a back four of Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba.

Sergio Busquets anchors Iniesta and Koke in midfield, leaving Costa to spearhead an attack that features David Silva and Vitolo.

La Roja’s last meeting with the Azzurri came in the Euro 2016 last 16, when they were beaten 2-0 in Vicente del Bosque’s last game at the helm.
