United meet Bale’s agent – reports

Gareth Bale has again been linked with a possible move to Manchester United, after a reported meeting between his agent and the English club.

Bale's agent Jonathan Barrett met up with United's boss Jose Mourinho and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward at the end of last week, according to Diario Gol.

The report suggests that the Welshman is growing tired of not having the limelight at the Bernabeu and he is willing to prompt a departure from Los Blancos next summer if Cristiano Ronaldo does not step aside.

The Barcelona-based website report that while Real Madrid want to renew Bale's contract, there are complications and even Adidas – who produce both clubs kits – are thought to be keen on a move going through.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for several years, dating back to his days at Tottenham Hotspur although despite repeated rumours he has always appeared happy and settled in Madrid, and has never publicly stated any desire to leave the club.
