‘Granada’s legs became weak’

Granada caretaker Lluis Planaguma admitted his side’s “legs became weak” during their 1-0 defeat to Leganes in La Liga on Saturday.

Planagama oversaw his first game as Granada interim, having been Coach of the Andalusians’ B team, as they fell to a seventh match of the season without a win, Alexander Szymanowski winning it for Legnes in the second half.

Asked after the game how his side could solve their problems, Planaguma replied: “Working and having clarity in what we do.

“We tried to minimise risks in a match that was marked by counterattacks.

“The players tried, but they got stuck at times and weren’t so loose with the ball. We had a good phase in the second half, but their legs became weak and the best decisions weren’t taken.

“We didn’t have clear chances but openings. In the second half, we had some clear openings, especially from the left, but weren’t precise enough.

“The details on the counter were what tilted the game.”
