Poyet expects tight Anoeta clash

Real Betis boss Gus Poyet is expecting a close game at the Anoeta on Friday night as his side takes on Real Sociedad in LaLiga.

Only one place and one point separates the sides going into the clash in San Sebastian with both sides securing two wins in their opening six rounds of fixtures, and Poyet is expecting a tough encounter against La Real.

"I anticipate a fairly even match against a rival with a settled team and defined system," the Uruguayan coach said ahead of the game.

"In ways it is similar to our recent game in Valencia because the difference may be the individual talent and the characters on the pitch.

"We're missing a lot of players – I don't want to hid behind that but it is the truth, Mandi, Jonas, Sanabria, Durmisi and Rafa Navarro are all unavailable, but we want to maintain the system and the ideas.

"I'm pleased with our squad, I like to have 25 players as it means you have tough decisions to make and it keeps players on their toes…it also means that in instances like this, when we have a few injuries, we have options to bring in.

"Betis in the Champions League? It is nice watching the games and this club can get there but we need to take it little by little.
