Prandelli: My style is Spanish

Cesare Prandelli has once again seemed to all but confirmed his move to Valencia by stating he has a Spanish style of football.

The former boss of the Italian national team has never coached or played in Spain but revealed to Gazetta Dello Sport that 'mine is a Spanish game' when asked directly about a proposed move to Valencia.

"I've always been told that mine is a Spanish game, but now we'll see," he told the Italian sports daily when questioned about why he had chosen to coach Los Che.

"It looks to me like a serious project, but for now I can't say anymore."

Super Deporte report that Prandelli flew to Singapore and had a 'very constructive meeting' with Valencia owner Peter Lim, and is expected to sign a two-year deal at the club to replace Pako Ayestaran, who was sacked last week.

Valencia's next match is at home to Atletico Madrid on Sunday but it appears unlikely any announcement will be made before then.
