Paco: Medium-term projects a lie

Paco Jemez has hit out at the lack of patience in football after his dismissal from Granada after only six games in charge of the club.

Jemez was dismissed on Wednesday after picking up only two points from his first six matches with the club, who are languishing in the relegation zone, with the most recent defeat coming at Granada on Monday night.

"I'm used to being told that football projects are medium to long term, but that's all a lie," blasted the 46-year-old on El Larguero after his dismissal.

"What matters is winning and winning – if you don't win all the time then things start to go to hell.

"Patience is all very well but when you don't start well and you're near the bottom of the table then winning is all that matters.

"Everything is very nice at first but when things don't start well then everything changes.

"I have a desire to train and don't have time to get tired – so we will see."
