Adan: Betis taking positives

Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan has insisted his team are on the right track despite Tuesday night's Seville derby defeat against Sevilla.

Adan believes that his side deserved at least a draw from the match and like manager Gus Poyet, he criticised the officiating and particularly Alex Alegria's incorrectly disallowed goal for offside.

"We have to take the positives from the match, we played well," said the 29-year-old shot-stopper.

"A bad decision from the officials does not change anything and we are proud of the team because they all worked well.

"It was frustrating because we competed so well and for long periods we were definitely the better side.

"Last week we conceded a penalty that was not a penalty, this time we have a perfectly good goal chalked off…it's not easy to take.

"It is more important to win than to play well, that's why we are frustrated."
