Real Betis manager Gus Poyet has hit out at the influence TV broadcasters have over the scheduling of LaLiga matches.
Speaking ahead of his side's Seville derby against Sevilla, Poyet – who's side has played two of it's opening four games on a Friday night – has said that he is fed up with such variation in days and kick off times.
"The weekends are when football is supposed to be played," the Uruguayan told reports ahead of the Tuesday night clash at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.
"We must excuse the TV broadcasters, but we are a little bit sick of this."
The 48-year-old is preparing his side for his first derby whilst manager in the city, but Poyet clarified he knew of the significance of this encounter.
"It's a special, unique game in a crazy football city – you can tell how passionate the fans are, even when I go out to buy bread," joked the 48-year-old.
"The only important thing is to win the derby, these games are the reasons we become players and coaches.
"I think Sevilla have done a lot of very good things under Sampaoli and it will be a great game, but we will play with our heads and our hearts."
