Barca want Bellerin – reports

Barcelona have reportedly made Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin their number one transfer priority.

Bellerin played for Barca's youth teams from the ages of 8 to 16 before moving to North London, but now Sport claim that the Catalan club is eyeing up a return for the defender.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez reportedly spoke to the 21-year-old at the end of May to confirm the interest from Barcelona but no further discussions occured as Luis Enrique was keen for Sergi Roberto to assume the right full-back position with Aleix Vidal as competition.

However, Vidal has not settled at the club following his 2015 move from Sevilla and Barcelona are keen to offload him in January, fuelling rumours that a move for Bellerin will intensify.

The Blaugrana reportedly see Bellerin's age, potential and skillset as ideal for their ambitions, although Arsenal are said to be keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal.

AS say that Barca's alternatives for Bellerin are Valencia's Joao Cancelo and Shakhtar Donetsk's Darijo Srna.
