Poyet focusing on Granada

Real Betis manager Gus Poyet is not letting next Tuesday's derby match at Sevilla distract him from Friday night's clash with Granada.

Betis host their Andalucian rivals in their first match since Sunday's dramatic win at Valencia and Poyet is now hoping his side can begin to build some momentum.

"We have not thought about anything to do with the derby," the Uruguayan told reporters.

"Our big game is tomorrow, we can not plan or think about anything after that.

"We want to perform in front of our home fans and for this game to be our first win at home this season.

"I do not think Granada and Paco Jemez will change their style – they will be offensive, but we have to take the initiative.

"Everybody here is focused on this tough battle against Granada. I only saw a little of Sevilla's draw at Juventus, but that was an impressive result."

Betis are playing three Andalucian rivals in consecutive matches, with the games against Granada and Sevilla followed by a home tie against Malaga.
