Sampaoli: Sevilla won’t sacrifice attack

Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli has insisted that his side won't give up their attacking principles away to Juventus.

Despite travelling to one of the strongest teams of European football, Sampaoli has refused to sacrifice his side's style of play to a more pragmatic approach in order to ensure more defensive solidity.

"I cannot give up my idea of attacking football," the Argentine coach told reporters.

"That is what we do in every day and in every game.

"The plan is similar to the one we had until now – some tactical structures might change but the general concept is always the same."

The 56-year-old also insisted that whilst Juve might have stronger individuals, his side can 'bridge the gap' with team ethic.

"Fortunately football is played by teams, not individuals," Sampaoli continued.

"If it were individuals, then Juventus would be stronger but we will play as a unit and see what happens."
