Lionel Messi is fit to face Alaves this weekend, manager Luis Enrique has confirmed.
Speaking at the pre-game press conference, Enrique said that Messi had recovered fully from a groin injury which forced him to withdraw early from the Argentina squad.
"He is in condition to be able to feature[against Alaves]," Enrique confirmed.
"I've spoke with him like I speak with all my players and we know how he is.
"We have to analyse the situation and keep in mind what's best for the player and make sure he's in the best condition possible.
"There was a report which said what the player has and we have had to evaluate things from there.
"We have a lot of commitments throughout the season and we always focus on [the best] for the player."
Messi sustained the injury in the win at Athletic Club a fortnight ago, but that did not stop him from playing and scoring for Argentina against Uruguay before returning early to Barca.
