New Deportivo La Coruna striker Joselu has insisted he will not replace Lucas Perez at the club and doesn't want comparisons.
The 26-year-old striker joined Depor on a season-long loan deal from Stoke City last week after Perez departed for Arsenal.
"I do not want to come here to replace Perez," said the former Hanover striker.
"We each have our own different characteristics and I hope to score many goals.
"I am looking forward to developing an understanding with (fellow new striker) Florin Andone."
Joselu netted four goals in 27 appearances for Stoke last season.
