Barca’s Gomes injury plan

Barcelona are working on a specific training programme to ensure new signing Andre Gomes injury problems are reduced.

Gomes was forced off during Portugal's 5-0 win over Gibraltar last week, forcing the midfielder to withdraw from the national team.

The Catalans are concerned over the frequency of the 23-year-old's injuries and are working on a specific plan to prevent them, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The latest injury setback has been diagnosed as a muscular problem in the Portuguese midfielder's right leg, but he has previously had muscle and back problems whilst at Valencia and during the European Championships in France.

It appears that his new club are going to ease the new signing into the team rather than risk further injury setbacks.
