Valencia have announced the signing of defender Ezequiel Garay from Zenit St Petersburg.
The Argentine moves to the Mestalla on a four-year contract and provides Coach Pako Ayesteran with another reinforcement at the back. Los Che have also signed Eliaquim Mangala on transfer deadline day.
As well as his spell in Russia, the 29-year-old has also played for Benfica, Real Madrid, Racing Santander and Argentine club Newell’s over the course of his career.
Earlier on Wednesday, Zenit Coach Mircea Lucescu admitted that Garay wanted to join Valencia, and late in the day the player has finally got his wish.
