Carlo Ancelotti predicts his former club Real Madrid will win the La Liga title this season, with Cristiano Ronaldo to end as top scorer.
Much has been made of the fact that despite winning the Champions League twice in the last three attempts, Los Blancos have lifted just one domestic title in eight years.
However, in an interview with Italian television network RAI, the current Bayern Munich boss revealed he expects Zinedine Zidane’s side to get the better of arch rivals Barcelona over the coming campaign.
“In Spain it is difficult,” Ancelotti began. “But I think that after so many years, Real Madrid will win the League again and Cristiano will be the top scorer.”
In his homeland of Italy, Ancelotti is backing Juventus to once again retain their Serie A crown, while he predicts success in England for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and another Ligue 1 title for Paris Saint-Germain in France.
