Camacho on Monaco agenda?

Ignacio Camacho could be set for a late in the window exit from Malaga as Monaco eye the midfielder.

A report from AS claims there has been contact between the Ligue 1 club and the south coast side and though talks are at an early stage and there is no formal offer, Monaco’s interest is considered serious by Malaga.

The approach could be stepped up by the principality club now they are confirmed in the Champions League group stage, eliminating Villarreal over two legs, and have guaranteed significant revenue.

If Camacho does leave – and his buy-out clause is set at €18m – it would provide Malaga with the funds to give Juande Ramos the goalkeeper and forward he wants, but they would have to act in the last week of the transfer window.
