Valencia angered by Barca’s Alcacer chase

Valencia are angered by Barcelona’s push for Paco Alcacer and are considering reporting the Catalans to FIFA for negotiating with the player.

AS reports that while Barca are sure they’ll get a deal for the striker and cite a meeting and alleged agreement between Josep Maria Bartomeu and Peter Lim over Alcacer, the likes of President Layhoon Chan, sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch and Coach Pako Ayestaran insist there’s no deal and Alcacer is staying.

Barca sources have told AS that there is an agreement between the club and Alcacer but they are wary of deteriorating relations with Los Che after the clubs fell out over the timing of the announcement of Andre Gomes’ move from Mestalla to Camp Nou.

Valencia higher-ups are said to be studying FIFA’s regulations and considering reporting Barca to the world governing body as Alcacer has a contract and a buy-out clause of €80m.

Catalan publication Mundo Deportivo meanwhile says Bartomeu and Lim shook hands on a deal for Alcacer and all that was lacking was an agreement on the structure of payments, but nothing between the clubs has been signed.
