Bravo could leave, hints Bartomeu

Josep Maria Bartomeu admits “things can happen” between now and August 31 in relation to Barcelona’s Manchester City target Claudio Bravo.

Bravo was heavily tipped to have played like his game for Barca in Saturday’s 6-2 demolition of Real Betis, with City expected to sign him once a replacement is secured – reportedly Ajax’s Jasper Cillessen.

“Bravo is playing today, we’re enjoying him. There are still days of the [transfer] market to go and things can happen,” the President said at half-time.

“Messi always makes things easier, he’s the best player in the world.

“We were lacking young players with [first-team] potential, hence our high-profile signings.”
