Hernanes & Mario to Valencia?

Valencia are reportedly in talks to sign midfielders Hernanes and Mario Suarez from Juventus and Watford respectively.

According to Superdeporte, Valencia have spent the last few hours pushing hard for the pair as they look to reinforce a midfield that has been depleted by the departures of Danilo Barbosa, Andre Gomes and Javi Fuego.

Pako Ayestaran confirmed Los Che’s interest in Suarez at a recent Press conference, where he told reporters: “He’s a proven player, we’ll see if he or someone else comes in.”

The newspaper adds both players meet Valencia’s “economic conditions”, with season-long loans including purchase options lined up before their first game of the season against Las Palmas on Monday.

Hernanes, 31, has made over 200 appearances for Italian clubs Lazio, Inter and Juve, the latter of whom are his incumbent team, and played 27 times for Brazil, including at the 2014 World Cup.

Suarez, meanwhile, spent five years at Atletico Madrid, winning La Liga in 2014, before joining Fiorentina last summer and then Watford, although neither move has proved fruitful.
