Luis Enrique admits Barcelona’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool “hurts”, but “everything is going as planned” in regards to their preparations for the new season.
Barca were thrashed by Liverpool in their final International Champions Cup match on Saturday, despite fielding the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Wembley, yet while Enrique was rueful about the result, he felt the Catalans continued to move in the right direction.
“It hurts to lose this way, but we’re improving and I’m not worried about how we’ll start against Sevilla because everything is going as planned,” the Coach said after the game.
“The difference between both teams was clear, but we’ll go forward with our preparations.”
