Espanyol’s Pau has Spurs offer

Pau Lopez has an offer from Tottenham Hotspur, it’s reported, as Espanyol’s transfer activity resumes in a flurry.

AS says that with the club now returned from a pre-season game in the Netherlands a burst of activity, both in and out, is expected.

Victor Camarasa is expected to join from Levante but only on loan as though Les Granotes have lowered their asking price for the midfielder, which was set at €10m, it’s still not low enough for Los Periquitos to make a permanent move.

Paco Montanes will go the other way and Pape Diop could follow him out of Cornella-El Prat, to Hertha Berlin, though the Senegalese could reject the German offer as he’s content with life in Barcelona.

Pau, meanwhile, has an offer from Spurs to provide back-up to Hugo Lloris and even though it would mean a lot of time on the bench, he’d be better paid at White Hart Lane and have the chance to play for Premier League title challengers and Champions League representatives.

Espanyol will look to sign another goalkeeper to maintain three stoppers in Quique Sanchez Flores’ squad but Pau’s move to North London could clear the way for a player much-desired by the Coach, Federico Fazio, who was until now unobtainable, but could be bound for Roma.
