Antonio Conte insists Diego Costa’s situation “hasn’t changed” after the Atletico Madrid-linked striker hinted at a farewell to his Chelsea teammates.
Costa is reportedly Atleti’s chief striking target and posted a cryptic Instagram message on Thursday, which saw him “thank for everything” his Chelsea colleagues, but Conte made it clear the former Colchonero would not be returning.
“[There’s] no issue with Diego Costa, and no change in his situation,” the Coach told the Evening Standard.
The Spain international was also used to launch the Blues’ new third kit, as seen in images released by the club on Friday.
