Sevilla have confirmed that Luciano Vietto will join the club after he passed a medical and was given permission to begin training with the Andalusians.
Vietto appeared to have been closing in on a permanent switch to Barcelona, but reports this past week have seen Sevilla overtake the Catalans, to the extent that the striker is already training with Los Nervionenses.
“Luciano Vietto has passed a medical and has been given permission by Atleti to train with Sevilla,” read an official tweet.
The 22-year-old joined Atleti for €20m last summer but scored just three goals for the club and is set to join Sevilla on an initial season-long loan, with an optional purchase option.
