Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu welcomes ‘crack’ Andre Gomes to the club as he completes his move from Valencia.
Gomes has signed for La Blaugrana in a deal costing €35m up front and more in bonuses, and was presented at Camp Nou on Wednesday, Bartomeu using the Spanish term ‘crack,’ roughly translating to ‘star,’ to praise the Portugal international.
“Andre Gomes is a new Barca player, he is a ‘crack’ on the world level and we’re happy he has accepted this challenge and come to play at our club,” Sport quotes Bartomeu as saying.
“The technical secretary had followed him for a long time. We want to welcome Andre to Camp Nou and especially his family. His father is a long-time Barca fan and that’s also why we’re happy for his arrival. We’re very pleased you’re with us.”
