Estadio Deportivo reports interest in Pato did exist from Sevilla but his non-EU status meant they couldn’t follow up, and the 26-year-old has chosen the Yellow Submarine.
“Many teams have asked about Pato’s situation but he has chosen to play at Villarreal. He’s already communicated his desire to Corinthians, he wants to leave and play for Villarreal, and hopefully soon,” Gilmar Veloz said.
“The club will make a significant commitment to the player, with a long-term contract of four years. This has helped to convince him.”
