Antonio Conte has told Chelsea to do whatever to get Real Madrid to sell Alvaro Morata and if the Blues manage it, Diego Costa could be Atletico Madrid’s.
AS cites reports from the Mirror that claim Conte wants his new club to lodge a third bid with Los Blancos for Morata, with whom he worked at Juventus, and doesn’t care how much it costs as long as the Spain international is delivered.
Chelsea and Conte have so far been clear on not wanting to sell Costa back to Atletico, even though he is desperate to return after two years at Stamford Bridge, but it’s suggested that the Premier League club’s intransigence is because they haven’t been able to secure Morata as Costa’s replacement.
Once they do, it’s added, Chelsea will listen to Atletico’s offer for Costa and so Morata is the key to unlocking Costa, but Atletico are keeping open the option of Kevin Gameiro from Sevilla if the Costa operation collapses.
