Ochoa set for Granada

Guillermo Ochoa looks set to leave Malaga for Granada and free a non-EU spot for Los Boquerones, but only part of the cost of his wages.

El Desmarque reports negotiations between Malaga and Granada overnight on Wednesday and if nothing unexpected arises, Ochoa will be on the move very shortly.

Ochoa though has another year on his contract at La Rosaleda and it’s said that Malaga will pay part of it, with El Grana assuming the rest.

Celta Vigo, Osasuna and Salzburg were all mentioned as interested in the goalkeeper but the influence of Paco Jemez has proved crucial to Ochoa’s decision.

Malaga will consider their options in goal once Ochoa leaves and could go for an academy player to back-up first choice Carlos Kameni.
