Ancelotti: Madrid don’t need Lewy

Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t believe Real Madrid need Robert Lewandowski and says Bayern Munich won’t sell regardless.

Poland captain Lewandowski has long been linked with Santiago Bernabeu but when asked, Carletto argued his old club don’t need the striker, and even if they did, Bayern wouldn’t let him leave.

“They have many great players, like [Karim] Benzema, [Gareth] Bale and Cristiano [Ronaldo]. Really they don’t need Lewandowski and even if he was needed, Bayern wouldn’t sell. Why should we voluntarily let go of one of the best attackers in the world?” Ancelotti asked, AS reports, before addressing suggestions of a swap with Lewy and Alvaro Morata.

“The only truth in these rumours is that Morata, my discovery at Madrid, is a very good player but I wouldn’t swap Lewandowski for any player in the world.”
