Aston Villa’s Jordan Veretout has emerged as an option for Real Betis as getting Mario Lemina from Juventus remains complicated.
AS cites L’Equipe in claiming the interest in Veretout from Benito Villamarin, as despite Veretout not being the defensive midfield pivot Betis are seeking, the feeling is that he has the capacity to develop in that direction as he’s only 23 and has briefly played in that position.
Lemina remains the preferred candidate of sporting director Miguel Torrecilla and Betis have approached the Old Lady about a loan move with a view to a permanent capture but Lemina is also the subject of big-money offers from the Premier League.
