La Liga debt at record low

La Liga is operating at a record-low in regards to wages owed by clubs to players, according to official figures.

Data made public by LFP chief Javier Tebas on Sunday showed only six complaints of unpaid wages last season, which totalled to €189,959 – well below the €16m of 2014-15 and less than €1m for the first time ever.

It also marks the sixth consecutive season that the debt has fallen, with La Liga clubs having owed €89m in 341 cases during the 2010-11 campaign.
