Reports in the British Press claim Villarreal have entered the running for Manchester United’s Juan Mata.
Mundo Deportivo notes that Mata is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer after the appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager, the Portuguese having sold Mata to United in his last spell as Chelsea boss and the pair not seeing eye-to-eye.
Juventus and Inter are said to have expressed an interest in the Spain international while Everton were thought to be in pole position, but Villarreal have enquired about taking Mata on loan, it’s claimed.
