Jonathas has returned to Real Sociedad after his move to Rubin Kazan stalled, and other options are being considered.
AS reports the striker was training with La Real on Monday after returning from Austria, where Rubin are holding their pre-season camp under newly-appointed Coach Javi Gracia, his agent Mino Raiola unable to reach agreement with the Russians.
Other options, in Europe and in Asia, are being explored for Jonathas by Raiola, with Porto touted as a possibility, and both Jonathas and La Real want a resolution that quickly brings an end to their relationship.
A fee of between €5m and €7m was on the table from Rubin to La Real as the Basques look to recoup most of what they paid Elche last summer, but the deal collapsed when it became clear Rubin and Raiola were not on the same page, though Rubin hasn’t been totally ruled out as a destination.
