Watford sign Success, sell Jurado?

Watford have signed Isaac Success from Granada for a club-record fee of €15m and are reportedly close to selling Jose Manuel Jurado to Espanyol.

Success has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Watford and follows the likes of Odion Ighalo and Adalberto Penaranda in swapping Granada for Vicarage Road.

The young Nigerian, who can play anywhere in attack, scored six goals in 30 La Liga appearances last season and was named the Andalusians’ Player of the Year.

Sport, meanwhile, claims Jurado is on the verge of a cut-price switch to Espanyol, who are now managed by former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores.

Sanchez Flores is believed to have personally requested Jurado to the Espanyol board as he looks to make the former Real Madrid and Atletico midfielder his third signing after goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez and forward Jose Antonio Reyes.

Jurado was a regular performer under the Coach in the Premier League last term, but he is no longer needed due to having just turned 30 and the appointment of Walter Mazzarri, thus explaining the €2-2.5m fee being reported.
