Barcelona have officially announced that Neymar has extended his contract with the club until 2021.
A statement on Barca’s official website confirms Neymar has agreed to commit for a further three years and a yearly increase on his release clause.
The threshold had stood at €190m, but it will be raised to €200m for the first year of his contract, €222m for the second and €250m for the remaining three.
The forward’s new deal will be presented formally on July 15 in Barcelona before he joins up with the Brazil team for next month’s Olympic Games in Rio.
