Rubin Kazan have confirmed the signing of Villarreal midfielder Samu Garcia for a fee reported at €5m.
The Russian club confirmed the capture on their official website, Samu pictured holding up the shirt of his new club, and AS say the Yellow Submarine will also announce the deal shortly.
Samu will take the No 77 and joins Javi Gracia, who was appointed Rubin Coach earlier in the summer after he was bought out of his Malaga contract and previously worked with Samu at La Rosaleda.
“I’m familiar with the staff, I’ve met the leadership of the club and I know there are a lot of good teams in Russia. Rubin beat Barcelona, which says a lot. I’ll do everything possible to achieve the best results, to score as much as possible and get as many assists as possible and to play for the team, because football is a team game,” Samu is quoted as saying.
