Vicente del Bosque admits he wasn’t happy with Pedro Rodriguez going public over his Euro 2016 frustration but insists the Spain camp is a happy one.
Pedro vented over not being included in the early fixtures and Del Bosque told AS that despite the Chelsea winger’s complaints, La Roja carry a positive attitude.
“I didn’t like what Pedro said though it wasn’t on our mind [against Croatia]. It can’t be said it influenced our game. We mainly have a healthy and friendly squad, it’s not a Sunday school but there is a great atmosphere. For that I thank the people who don’t play but behave well,” the Coach said.
“It hurts me not to use Koke more, or Thiago Alcantara, or Marc Bartra, everyone. The behaviour of our players has been spectacular, for which I will always be grateful to those who haven’t played. Pedro’s comments were unfortunate, perhaps that’s the most I can say.
“If we can get along that’s much better. We’re together for a month and a day and there hasn’t been a problem. We’ve had to make decisions, people have joined in stages and we’ve had to lose people who came here but were injured.”
