Madrid confirm Morata buy-back

Real Madrid have told Juventus they are willing to pay the agreed €30m fee to bring Alvaro Morata back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The two clubs are still busy working on the possible transfer of Paul Pogba to the Spanish giants but, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve have now received a formal communication from Madrid informing them that the buy-back clause for Morata will be met by the end of June.

Los Blancos will then have the option of deciding whether to keep hold of the 23-year-old Spain international, who is currently starring for La Roja at Euro 2016, or sell him abroad for a handsome profit.

Morata joined the Serie A outfit in July 2014 for a fee of €20m on a five-year contract that included the buy-back agreement.
