Official: Granada appoint Paco

Granada have the confirmed the appointment of former Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez as their new Coach on a three-year contract.

An agreement between Paco and Granada was finally reached on Monday morning, and he will be the first Coach to work under the club’s new Chinese owners.

A former Spain defender, who represented his country at Euro 2000, Paco coached the likes of Alcala, Cartagena, Las Palmas and Cordoba over two spells before joining Rayo in 2012.

He spent his first three seasons at Vallecas establishing the club in La Liga with an attractive brand of football, culminating in their highest-ever finish of eighth in 2014-15, but relegation to the second tier beckoned last term.

The 46-year-old will be presented to the media at 12:00 BST on Wednesday.
