Spain to ring Croatia changes?

Spain may ring the changes in their final Euro 2016 group match against Croatia as four new faces were tested by Vicente del Bosque on Sunday.

According to AS, Mikel San Jose, Hector Bellerin, Koke and Aritz Aduriz started Spain’s last training game before their trip to Bordeaux for Tuesday’s Group D finale, with Sergio Ramos, Juanfran, Cesc Fabregas and Alvaro Morata dropping out.

Ramos has a yellow card and would miss the last 16 if he picks up another booking before then, while the likely absence of Mario Manduzkic means the Vatreni will not offer such a physical threat going forward.

Juanfran is expected to be rested after an intense season for Atletico Madrid and appearances against Czech Republic and Turkey, while Fabregas’ omission is considered “not surprising”, as is Aduriz deputising for Morata.

David de Gea started the training match in goal but was replaced by Iker Casillas before the end, leaving the newspaper unsure as to who will line up between the sticks.

Probable Spain XI vs Croatia: De Gea; Bellerin, Pique, San Jose, Alba; Busquets, Koke, Iniesta; Silva, Aduriz, Nolito
